FOND is french for "base" or "foundation." FOND is at the intersection of two industries rapidly changing: the culinary and nutritional revolution. What is at the core? Bone broth. For too long taste and culinary craft were thought to be separate from nourishment. We came to believe that good tasting food was an indulgence and nourishing food was to be tolerated. 

The solution? FOND™ Bone Broth. Whether you use it to elevate a meal or as a drink to nourish your body whole, our goal is to bring nourishing food to the height of culinary taste and ingenuity. 

What makes FOND Bone Broth™ Different?

A short cut tastes like a short cut, so we don't take any. We start with local farms, and carefully tended backyard gardens whenever possible. Then using traditional french cooking methods, and a lime-twist of modern mixology we arrive at our FOND™ signature flavors perfect for sipping or for use in your every day cooking. 

Then using the best that ancient tradition and technology have to offer, we preserve FOND™ bone broth through a time-intensive process completely free of chemical additions or alterations. Founded in May, of 2015, our artisan bone broth is the best you will find.



FOUNDER - Alysa is a mother, a foodie, a storyteller, a forager. Her love for all things that grow lead her to pursue sourcing ingredients from the best places possible: local farms. A life-long student with a penchant for surprise, Alysa is the recipe developer and creative mind behind FOND™ bone broth. Our artful bone broths are hand crafted for taste and flavor and nutritional compliment. Alysa's great passion is the medicinal table: helping people find their way to health through food. 


CO-FOUNDER - Isaac is a videographer, a father, a gardner, a designer and the second Founder of FOND™. His passion for FOND™ is two-fold: tasting the difference that bone broth makes to his family's health and daily recipes. And secondly, the artful challenge of elevating something previously thought of as unseemly or humble to the status of a cocktail. Believing always that we eat with our eyes first, Isaac is the main creative force behind the FOND™ brand. 


CO-FOUNDER  - Growing up a short drive from her grandparents farm, Anna has always loved the land. From apples picked in the backyard and corn from the field on the farm supper table was all but expected. Knowing gut-healing broth was something the world needed to have, Anna encouraged Alysa to launch Stockpot Broth Co., now FOND, at the farmer's market in New Braunfels on May 16th, 2015. Anna formally joined the FOND team as Co-Founder specializing in Operations. She is eager to share her passion for sustainably sourced nourishment with our customers. 

CO-FOUNDER - Michal is a thoughtful wander with a passion for travel, exploration, beauty and service. She joined the FOND team in February of 2016. Her background is in managing the frenetic and wonderful experience that is the food industry. For FOND she facilitates a beautiful, welcoming experience at every physical point of interaction with our customers. From the booths at the market to the flow of traffic in our storefront, Michal is passionate about the intersection of beauty and function. When she's not acting as Alysa's soux, you can find her throwing or firing her latest piece.




At FOND our goal is to give you something to nourish, something we give to our families. We want to deliver a product that goes beyond the day-to-day fuel that most of us perceive to be the purpose of eating at the table. We want to sustainably support the beautiful system that was created from the beginning not simply to feed us, but to nourish us physically, mentally, emotionally, communally. We believe this is so important that we figured out a way to do it for you so you can experience this even when you do not have the time to do it for yourself.

Hand and hand with the goal of giving you something to nourish, is to love the land. Our goal is to support the farmers who make eating this nourishing food possible. Americans have done poor job of valuing their local farmers, preferring instead the cheap food processing that is out of sight and out of mind and above all else - convenient. With every jar we invite you to invest in the land, for our generation and for our future.

The third leg of our mission is centered around your excellent health. It is a benediction, a promise of a better tomorrow, of a holistic relationship between mind and body, one where we see indulgence not as a "sinfully good" cinnamon roll, but an heirloom tomato picked at the peak of flavor. Your journey to the medicinal table starts with embracing a new foundation. 

Science validates what our grandmothers knew. {Broth} contains minerals in a form the body can absorb easily—not just calcium but also magnesium, phosphorus, silicon, sulphur and trace minerals. It contains the broken down material from cartilage and tendons–stuff like chondroitin sulphates and glucosamine...Gelatin is useful in the treatment of a long list of diseases including peptic ulcers, tuberculosis, diabetes, muscle diseases, infectious diseases, jaundice and cancer. The American researcher Francis Pottenger pointed out that as gelatin is a hydrophilic colloid, which means that it attracts and holds liquids, it facilitates digestion by attracting digestive juices to food in the gut. Even the epicures recognized that broth-based soup did more than please the taste buds.
